4 Reasons to Love TreatBox: The Next Frontier

We launched TreatBox for Raksha Bandhan in August, and now we are gearing up for two special occasions in October. The first is Fiji Day combined with Prophet Mohammed’s birthday – two joyous occasions where we celebrate independence and divinity. Then we gear up for another major holiday in Fiji – Diwali, the festival of lights.

We endeavor to provide three or four treats in each variety pack. But the real reasons to try TreatBox are:

  1. Flavor bombs: we pack our treats with delicious and medicinal spices like turmeric, cinnamon, cardamom and nutmeg, fruits like passionfruit and pineapple, and other sources of flavor, like cocoa, nuts, and coconut.
  2. Local ingredients: we use local fruits like pineapple, mango, banana, and passionfruit; vegetables like beets and carrots; grains like rice, sago and millet; beans and legumes like mung and chickpea; and root crops like cassava to showcase Fiji’s bounty of healthy options.
  3. No gluten or animal products: we use all gluten-free and plant-based ingredients to avoid allergies and prevent contribution to risk factors for lifestyle diseases. We do use soy products, coconut, and nuts, leveraging their relatively healthy fats and proteins, but in moderate amounts.
  4. No refined sugar: One hundred percent of our treats have zero refined sugar and are low glycemic. We use raisins, dates, fresh fruit, and nectars to sweeten the deal.

We are also always experimenting with new ingredients to see what make a sumptuous treat with zero guilt. Of course, if you want to learn to make them yourself, purchase one of our cookbooks.

If you’re interested in ordering a TreatBox, watch our Facebook and Instagram spaces for information on when and how to order. We look forward to making your special occasions smarter and healthier – let’s get delicious!
