13 Worth-It Reasons for Trying TreatBox

Recently we launched our first ever TreatBox, a variety pack of sweet treats intended for special occasions several times a year. The occasion we chose was Raksha Bandhan, when sisters and brothers celebrate their special bond.

Our intentions and practices around TreatBox include:

  1. Guilt-free enjoyment of sweet treats that contain zero animal products, gluten, and refined sugar.
  2. Not a single ingredient in any treat contributes to any lifestyle disease, period.
  3. Zero harm to animals, as we use only plant-based ingredients.
  4. Lowest possible climate impact due to plant-based ingredients.
  5. Using biodegradable packaging to allow environmental care.

Aside from these values, we also aim to pack TreatBox with flavor. Our first TreatBox contained our signature almond-coconut-cardamom bliss balls, rose barfi colored with beet juice, and besan laddoos flavored with slow-brewed fresh turmeric-ginger chai, plus we gave away free samples (while they lasted) of our new coconut-banana-orange-chia custard pudding. Yes, our treats tend to have long names 🙂

We keenly gathered feedback from our inaugural customers. Here’s what they had to say:

  1. “It’s most unique… so there is no sugar or milk or eggs!! Amazing.”
  2. “It’s delicious, thank you!”
  3. “Love the sweets, it’s refreshing knowing we are having healthy sweets.”
  4. “The TreatBox was truly a treat indeed. I loved every bit of it.”
  5. “Our favorites are the ones with the sultanas, and the custard was delicious too.”
  6. “I enjoyed all the treats.”
  7. “OMG the rose barfi is delicious! I love the sesame seeds – nice touch and good flavor in my mouth. The besan laddoo is yummy, and reminds me of the traditional one, and of course the almond-coconut-cardamom is amazing. I love the custard too, it’s so fluffy, like a mousse. Some day, when I do a havan, I want you to make all the prasadum, to show we don’t need to harm animals to do a heartfelt pooja.”
  8. “My mom said, ‘Marilyn did these?’ She was impressed and she ate both the barfi types. And the sweets were fantabulous with just the perfect amount of sweetness. I loved especially the laddoos – the darker ones . I don’t even know the names! With the sultanas. Just amazed at the creation!”

We are excited to continue our preparations for the next TreatBox, which will be available for Fiji Day celebrations and on the heels of Prophet Mohammed’s birthday. We believe in providing treats to people from all walks of life, with all belief systems, and all cultures and traditions. We believe wellness tastes good – so let’s get delicious!
