3 Ways to Soothe Yourself Anytime, Anywhere in 5 Minutes

Do you want the ability to calm yourself in a less than 5 minutes? Right before a meeting, a presentation or a tricky conversation with a loved one, we can tense up. When we are grieving, we need ways to release emotions safely and keep functioning. With each day’s stress, we need quick ways to reset, restore, and soothe ourselves. Hold that thought.

What about waking up to an intentional practice of positive thinking? And going to bed with a relaxed body and mind? Hold those thoughts too!

Today, on the heels of the 11th anniversary of my company, Alchemus Prime, my app is available around the world. The app, like my show, is called Mornings with Marilyn. It’s designed to be your gentle, safe companion, your soothing sanctuary.

Mornings with Marilyn is a loving offering from the tropical islands of Fiji, where I taught myself how to code and created this app with the intention of helping people reduce stress and anxiety in mere minutes. It feels meaningful to offer something created here, in my homeland, for my clients around the world, for people in Fiji, for the Fijian diaspora, and for anyone who needs a calm, trauma-informed space for grounding, self-love, and emotional support.

At its heart, this app is not about technology. It is about having a gentle place to return to yourself. It is a simple library of offerings that provide energy for you to recalibrate privately, whenever you need, wherever you are.

The app contains guided meditations and affirmations in my voice. You can start the day with it, and come back to it throughout the day as you need. You could also use it to sleep well with my relaxation meditation. There are offerings for building hope, abundance, mindfulness and coping with grief in these uncertain times. Quick meditations are only 3-5 minutes long, allowing you to soothe yourself, de-escalate from anxiety, and improve focus. Longer meditations range from 7 to 15 minutes, while affirmations are just 2-4 minutes, to start to your day right.

  1. Four Essentials: four offerings – my signature grounding meditation, and quick calm breathing meditation, plus positivity and gratitude affirmations – a lifetime purchase that keeps on giving.
