Gold Coast Tour: Transforming Trauma into Empowerment with Self-Love

Yesterday, I taught my workshop in Gold Coast, Queensland. On the heels of the Sydney events, this workshop went deeper into trauma patterns, coping mechanisms, and the root cause of why we stay stuck: a lack of self-love.

The participants were all women this time, and we began by creating a safe container in which we could share openly. Here’s how one participant described this initial meditation:

I liked that you created a safe place for everyone. It allowed people to feel more comfortable and open up despite being who they are and going through what they have.

After introductions and sharing our difficult situations, we moved into the pattern recognition part of the workshop. Participants helped each other discover and understand patterns of behavior, including trauma, triggers, and coping mechanisms. I provided deeper insights into how the patterns originated and what participants could do to begin to break free of them.

We closed with setting intentions, goals, and discussing how participants could love themselves through these next steps. Participants expressed interest in Alchemus Prime’s coaching, courses, and retreats. We also held a book signing.

Each participant is now part of a special community, bonded by vulnerability and through that, strength. Here’s how one participant described my approach:

People who work with Marilyn should know that Marilyn works with a loving, kind persona and is insightful in her perception of the difficulties you are experiencing. She offers seeds of love to make positive changes within yourself to move forward.

If you know of teams or individuals that feel stuck and could benefit from behavioral approaches to trauma removal and the cultivation of self-love, let’s talk. I’ll keep sharing outcomes of future workshops and talks as I continue my South Pacific Tour, which is based on my book, The Path to Romantic Success. Next stop: New Zealand!

I’m standing here with Margaret, (an)altruist at Alchemus Prime, center, and Sashi, my host, right, just before we began the workshop. Yes, those are the shirts I found serendipitously the day before the workshop.
