5 Reflections on Softness, Service, and Strength

This has been a big, beautiful, full-circle kind of week.

I celebrated my birthday on the heels of Alchemus Prime turning 11. Eleven years of service, learning, rebuilding, refining, and continuing to say yes to the work I feel called to do. When I look back, I don’t just see a company. I see a path of integrity. I see courage. I see all the moments when I kept going, even when the next step was not yet clear. Even when others said I wouldn’t make it.

Then, once again, I had the joy of being a guest on Fiji TV’s breakfast show. It felt especially meaningful this time because the segment helped launch our Beyond Medicine book series, while also giving me space to speak about the forthcoming Mornings with Marilyn app. Both projects come from the same place: a belief that healing must become more accessible, more human, more practical, and more loving.

Beyond Medicine is our invitation to think more deeply about wellness — not just as something clinical or individual, but as something behavioral, emotional, relational, cultural, spiritual, and collective. The book series brings us to 51 books – an incredible milestone.

Mornings with Marilyn – the app – is my way of offering gentle guidance whenever you need a few minutes of grounding, soothing, and remembering themselves in the middle of real life and all its stresses. I offer guided meditations and affirmations in my voice. Stay tuned for its release.

As Mother’s Day arrives, I find myself thinking about the kind of energy our world desperately needs right now. We are living in a war-torn, overstimulated, deeply wounded world shaped by too much toxic masculine energy — abuse, domination, extraction, control, cruelty, and disconnection. What we need more of is maternal energy. Not just from mothers, and not only for children. We need the nurturing force of our hearts that protects life. The energy that listens. The energy that tends. The energy that says: you matter, your pain matters, your healing matters, and we belong to one another.

We need more compassion. We need more softness with backbone (boundaries, which I will be teaching in my upcoming course). We need more people willing to lead with care.

That is what I am carrying into this new year of my life, this new chapter of my work, and this Mother’s Day weekend: a deeper commitment to healing, to service, and to the kind of love that helps make the world safer for all of us. Join me.
