How to find Love: Expanding Heartfulness

I’ve been part of the beautiful Heartfulness movement for a little over a year. In that time, I’ve made two trips to India, made many new friends, and found a loving extended family of meditators. I feel Heartfulness gives me so much and constantly inspires me to give back. It’s a wonderful flow to live in.

I was inspired to learn more about this method because the Heartfulness trainers I met in India were SO loving and they radiated peace and light. I wanted to be more like them. As a Heartfulness trainer, I’ve learned a lot but I have a long way to go, and I’m still studying. There is a lot of deep literature and it really helps me understand this system of meditation.

My experiences in Heartfulness led me to India and back to Fiji where I began conducting group meditations. I also experienced beautiful group meditations in Berkeley and Rocklin while I was in the San Francisco Bay Area last year. Heartfulness is active in 150 countries – that’s a lot of love.

Now Heartfulness meditation is expanding in Suva, where Alchemus Prime now also has a second base. The Heartfulness community in Suva, Fiji’s capital, was small with no trainer when I got here, and has now doubled in size – people need a method to manage their stress. My parents joined and now meditate regularly, loving the method as well as the people. We all love the cleaning technique, which is a wonderfully practical tool for removing daily stresses.

My collaborator Ilana Burness, of Ilana’s Heart Yoga, and I recently started offering relaxation techniques and Heartfulness meditation to the public, based at the Indian High Commission premises in downtown Suva, thanks to their gracious donation of their yoga space. We are in talks with a large corporation to begin teaching Heartfulness meditation to their staff, and are in discussions to offer Heartfulness to underserved communities as well.

Another beautiful collaboration sprouted between the Heartfulness Institute and Heartfulness Fiji through a monthly webinar series that includes a short meditation and time to get your questions answered. Our speaker is Mr. James Joseph, an engineer with an MBA who lives in Michigan and has been meditating for 30 years. His approach is scientific, with simple language, storytelling, and his gentle energy is a joy to be around. Join us every 3rd Saturday of the month at 2pm Fiji time for this absolute treat.

Heartfulness is always free. When love is the basis of our service, Divinity is not for sale. And love is a giver. It feels so good to give. And the Heartfulness movement is growing infectiously: we all want to love, be loved, and to belong. Beyond race, religion, creed, ethnicity, and other differences, Heartfulness allows a beautiful harmony and unity. The pure love of Heartfulness is contagious!

If you’re in Fiji and interested in trying out Heartfulness meditation, reach out to us via our Facebook page. Wherever else you are, you can find a trainer near you via HeartSpots. It takes three meditations to get introduced to the system. Try it and see for yourself.

A couple of examples of the joy that happens when Heartfulness meditators get together.
