13 Reasons to Take the Self-Love Journey

I recently finished facilitating a retreat for my self-love course participants. We went away and stayed in a BnB, cooked together, held a graduation ceremony, and bonded even more deeply than we had for the past seven months.

When I reflected on the course and read the evaluations, I was struck by how far we had come as a tribe. My students articulated their reasons for being on this journey, and I thought to share their experiences in their own words. Here are their reasons and triumphs:

  1. Get rid of self-doubt, self-loathing, and self-sabotage.
  2. Learn to love yourself unconditionally.
  3. Face past trauma head on and learn how to heal it.
  4. Find a tribe of like-minded people and share a safe space with them to heal and grow.
  5. Heal self-criticism and self-hate.
  6. Improve self-worth and self-care and set strong boundaries.
  7. Build self-love as a foundation for all loving relationships.
  8. Learn about yourself – what you like and want in your life.
  9. Uproot harmful and limiting beliefs and habits.
  10. Discover and live from your true self.
  11. Surrender to your highest purpose.
  12. Fall in love with yourself and be your own best friend.
  13. Transform your life!

To close, I’d like to share an excerpt from one of the evaluations:

I would like to thank you for everything. Thank you hon for designing this course and as I say 100 years earlier or 100 years later this course has the power to change and transform lives. You have transformed mine and I love you so much for that.
