What’s in my Food? Nutritional Content Tool

As a part of the vegan and animal rights communities, I see a ton of social media posts about the protein content in plant-based versus animal-based foods. Recently I saw a meme that claimed broccoli had more protein than a steak, which is not true. Then I came across a Condē Nast (media company that also gives us Vanity Fair, Wired and Epicurious) site called Self Nutrition Data, which provides a nutritional label for the food you want to look up. Their database seems pretty extensive; there are 24 types of tofu you can choose from, for instance. I think this tool is useful for vegans who are concerned about protein, fitness folks, and everyone, really. Check it out!
