Tesla Goes Vegan

I’ve been writing about a lot of different ways that veganism is becoming more and more mainstream. From fashion and celebrities to medicine and food, veganism is being felt worldwide.

Now, Tesla has solidified its position as a leader in sustainable transport with a vegan car. The Model X has cruelty-free interior, and boasts impressive safety features, and an enhanced driving experience to boot. The falcon-wing doors are also beautifully biomimetic, and the whole SUV evidences extensive user-centered design or design thinking to ensure a comfortable and convenient experience for adults and children. My favorite is the bike-carrying rack.

Apparently PETA, which holds shares in Tesla, played a role in convincing CEO Elon Musk to go vegan for Tesla vehicles. Given that about 51% of global greenhouse gases stem from the life cycle of animal agriculture, Musk is walking the talk to achieve Tesla’s mission of leading the shift to sustainable transport. Hats off to Elon Musk, who is becoming the Steve Jobs of cars…

Tesla's Model X is now vegan, which is wonderful for animals, climate change, and sustainability in general.
