NYT: #1 Action on Climate Change

Well, the New York Times has come out and said it: “Yes, eating nothing but locally grown fruits and vegetables would reduce your carbon footprint the most.”

In a recent article about what to do about climate change, avoiding meat and dairy products is numero uno on the list, followed by driving less, reducing food waste, driving less (yes, again) and flying less, choosing no more than one energy-efficient car, and consuming less stuff in general. There’s also something about pets: it’s ok to have them. The dog-lover in me always knew that!

With COP 21 taking place this week in Paris, and the recent screening of Cowspiracy at the EU Parliament, it feels like we’re going to hit a tipping point very soon with plant-based wellness for planet and people. YES!

The New York Times has listed plant-based eating as the number one action to fight climate change.
