Employing only the Unemployable
This post is in the category of super refreshing, similar to my posts about gardening and dog training programs in prisons. Sun Cedar is a company out of Lawrence, Kansas, that hires only those who have criminal records, are recovering addicts, or are homeless. The company produces little scented cedar trees, and is expanding into other cedar products.
I’ve been blogging recently about my experiences in jail, and about violence, so this company feels like a wonderful breath of fresh air, and a beautiful way to give second chances to those who need them most. Thanks, Sun Cedar, for making a difference.
